What would happen if America's youth suddenly began reading? And I don't mean reading their emails but actually reading a book. They might turn into one of these old counter-culture figures. Can you imagine Jack Kerouac was once considered "subversive?" And Lenny Bruce was thought of as a dangerous threat to the morals of America? Oh, how I miss those quaint old times.
